The pandemic is seeing more people struggling than ever before. That’s why we are challenging you to take a small action to support the incredible initiatives planned this Mandela Day around the country that will help those in need.

The Lucky Lucy Foundation
Mandela Day donation drive for animal welfare – drop off any donations for animal welfare at an Absolute Pets store across SA and they will donate 67KG of food to animal rescue organisations for every 67 items donate.
The Angel Network
This year for Mandela Day, the Angel Network has three wonderful projects to get involved in:
1) Selling 5kg soup mix for R66 which together with a soup cube and a packet of instant soup, provides 12 bowls of nutritious, filling soup for those in need.
2) Contribute R300 and purchase a Cosy Comfort Pack to a homeless person
3) Donate a 4 pack of vegetable seeds, for R23, to places wanting to start veggie gardens.

Support the Blikkiesdorp project. HOPE Cape Town will ensure that the children of Blikkiesdorp receive “a little something special” (party pack) with their meals on Friday, 17th July.

Changing the Story – donate R67 to buy one book or R670 to buy a shelf of books.
Through book donations Kids Haven will source inspiring, educational and girl power books for children.

Mandela Day Therapy Services – Support child welfare this Mandela Day by donating to Child Welfare Tshwane who provide on going therapy to children including play therapy, bereavement, life story and structured trauma therapy.
CROW-Centre for Rehabilitation of wildlife
Support the rehabilitation of wildlife animals by buying an item from their wish list.
Dogtown SA
Help Dogtown keep the lights on during this lockdown and load shedding by raising funds for their Mandela Day solar power project.
Animal Welfare Society of South Africa
They have a target of 67 sterilizations for Mandela Day help them get there.
