The MySchool Move for Health Don Lock event was held in Claremont Sunday 22 August. The event was the culmination of a five week Move for Health campaign-  a joint initiative of the Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA), Celtic Harriers, Woolworths, MySchool, Let’s Play, the City of Cape Town and the Community Papers.

The Woolworths and MySchool ‘Play it Forward’ fundraising campaign has come to an end with winners Cowan House Co-educational Preparatory School, Pietermaritzburg, and Hillcrest Christian Academy, Durban, being the top scoring schools in the country. A total of 388 primary schools participated in the campaign. These two schools, and the third place finisher, King David Junior School, Linksfield, Johannesburg, each received R100 000 in the handover ceremonies held in Durban on 20 July and in Johannesburg on the 21 July.

The Baba Indaba is South Africa’s premier ‘baby, toddler and parenting expo’ which is held annually in the cities of Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria, Johannesburg and for the first time this year, Baba Indaba is coming to Soweto.
