The innovative Woolworths at the new Palmyra Junction shopping centre in Claremont, Cape Town, which opened on 28 October 2010, is not only the second largest  Woolworths Foodmarket in the Western Cape (after Constantia Village), it’s also the ‘greenest’ Woolworths store yet.

For the 17th year running, hundreds of animal-lovers and their dogs participated in the SPCA Royal Canin Wiggle Waggle Walkathon on the 28 November 2010. In total there were 2,251 dog-walkers and 1,751 dogs that took part in the biggest organized dog walk in the Western Cape. This event raised R110 659, for abused, neglected and abandoned animals.
