T&C's: Teacher’s Day Competition: “The Teacher Who Changed My World”
The Woolworths “Teacher Who Changed My World” competition is open to all primary and high schools in South Africa.
No registration is required.
Duration of competition:
The competition commences on 1 September and closes on 26 September 2011 (“the competition period”).
Prizes:
First, second and third place winners will be selected at both primary and high schools.

General Rules:
Entries are limited to one per entrant. A similar competition (“the Facebook Competition”) will be conducted on Facebook. Entrants who participate in the Facebook Competition may not enter the School competition and similarly, entrants who enter the School competition may not enter the Facebook Competition.
Winners agree to abide by the Woolworths Gift Card terms and conditions set out in below.
- The Woolworths “Teacher who changed My World” competition is not open to Woolworth’s employees and their family members, including the employees and family members of the Woolworths’ advertising and competition agencies and distributors.
- The judge’s decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
- The prizes are not transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Winners may be requested to be photographed and permit the use of their respective names for publicity purposes.
- The winners shall be announced on 5th October 2011 and notified telephonically.
- In the event that any winner cannot be successfully contacted following all reasonable attempts to do so, Woolworths reserves the right to disqualify the winner from the competition and to nominate another winner in his or her stead.
- By participating in the Woolworths “Teacher Who Changed My World” competition, the winners agree to release and hold Woolworths and any associated companies, their employees, directors, officers and agents, and their advertising and competition agencies harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
- Any reference to Woolworths in these terms and conditions shall be deemed to include reference to Woolworths (Pty) Ltd, Woolworths Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, Virtual Market Place (Pty) Ltd and any of their holding, associated, affiliated companies and subsidiaries.
- Gift Card Terms and Conditions:
The gift card is only exchangeable for merchandise and may not be redeemed for cash;
No cash change will be given;
The gift card may not be redeemed against purchases made at any Woolworths store outside of the Republic of South Africa or at any Engen store;
The gift card is valid for 36 months from the date of purchase;
The gift card may not be used to make payments towards any Woolworths card or loan account or utilities account;
Please safeguard your Gift Card as it cannot be replaced or any value thereon redeemed if lost or stolen.
