Now you can earn rewards for yourself and others every time you shop at Woolworths! All you need is a Woolworths Store Card, Credit Card or Difference Card or a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet* card and you can earn 10% off selected items.

*IMPORTANT* In order to take full advantage of offers, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet supporters must give Woolworths permission to communicate with them via email and post. To check whether you have given Woolworths permission, call Woolworths on 0861 502 050.

Lower prices on selected items

As a cardholder, you can take advantage of special lower prices on selected items throughout the store – on food, clothing, accessories, homeware and more – with new offers in store every few weeks. Simply swipe your card before your purchases are rung up and see the difference on your till slip. (Even if you are paying with a Woolworths card you must still swipe your card before the transaction to ensure you benefit from special lower prices for cardholders.)

We reserve the first hour and half of our sales for cardholders to give you the chance to get first pick of sale merchandise.

Reward others - we'll give on your behalf

If you have a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card, or if you link your Woolworths Difference Card, Store Card or Credit Card to our MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet fundraising programme, we’ll automatically donate up to 1% of the value of your purchases on your behalf to the school or charity of your choice every time you shop. The more you shop, the bigger the reward

More good news! Rewards are tiered, so the more you spend, the more rewards you earn.

The tier you’re on depends on how much you spend, and you’ll be able to move upwards based on the amount you spend in each quarter. You’ll start out on the valued tier however if you have a Woolworths Black Credit card, you’ll automatically enjoy VIP status for a year.

If you don’t quality to stay on your tier, you may move down to the lower tier – but that will only happen once a year in the month of June. To find out more about the various tiers, and which tier you are on, click here.

What is Woolworths Rewards?

Woolworths Rewards is a customer appreciation programme for Woolworths shoppers who hold any of their credit or non credit cards, such as a MySchool or MyPlanet card.

How do I get Woolworths Rewards?

• If you have a MySchool Card you will automatically qualify for Woolworths Rewards. However, you need to give us your email address and cell number in order to receive your tiered rewards Call WRewards on 0861 50 20 50 to update your permissions.
• If you don’t have any of these cards, you can apply for them in-store or online here.

Can anyone join the Woolworths Rewards programme?

Anyone in South Africa is eligible to join. Unfortunately this does not include Namibia or any other neighbouring territories.

Do all MySchool members quality?

• Yes, but if you have not given Woolworths permission to communicate with you, then you won’t receive the tiered benefits, via post or email.
• To check whether you have given Woolworths permission, call Woolworths on 0861 502 050. 

How do the loyalty tiers work?

The programme will be refreshed every year: if you’ve spend the required amount, upgrades will happen quarterly; if you haven’t spent the required annual amount, downgrades will happen annually.

First upgrade will be end January 2011; first annual downgrade will be 25 June 2011

How do I know what tier I'm on?

You can either go online at http://www.woolworths.co.za/ , call the Interactive Voice Response line (0861 992 582) or go in-store to Customer Services and they’ll inform you which tier you’re on. Make sure you have your relevant card with you.

How do I get card holders' special prices?

• You must have a Woolworths Store, Credit or Difference card or else a MySchool or MyPlanet Card.
• Always remember to swipe one of these cards at the till point at the start of the transaction.
• Even if you are paying with a Woolies card you must still swipe your card before the transaction.
• If you do not swipe before you pay, you will not benefit from the lower prices.

Will I get card holders' special prices at Engen Food Stores?

There will be no card holders’ special prices at Engen Food Stores, but any Woolies products bought on your Woolworths store or credit card will contribute to your tier calculations.

Will this impact the funds I help to raise for my beneficiary?

Donations to MySchool beneficiaries will be calculated on the purchase price paid for products in our stores by participants in this Rewards Programme
