Terms and Conditions

1. The MySchool “Vote for SA’s Favourite Charity” competition is open to all MySchool supporters over the age of 18 years who are in lawful possession of a MySchool Card or Woolworths Difference Card, Store Card or Visa Credit Card linked to a MySchool Card (“Linked Woolworths Card”). To link any of the above Woolworths cards to MySchool, please call 0860 100 445.
2. The top performing charitable organisation (as voted for by supporters) will win R10 000 cash for the purposes to support their organisation’s work.
   
3. One lucky supporter will win R5000 worth of gift cards from our national partners to use as they please. The prize is not transferable for cash. The winner will be drawn at random from the supporters who voted in the competition.
4. The competition commences on 13 November 2009 and terminates on 28 February 2010 (“the promotion period”).
5. In order to be entered into the competition, customers are required during the promotion period to:
   5.1 vote online at www.myschool.co.za
   5.2 present a valid MySchool Card or Linked Woolworths Card
   
6. Multiple entries are not permitted – every card number will count as an entry.
7. The MySchool “Vote for SA’s Favourite Charity” competition shall not be open to Woolworth’s employees and their family members including the employees and family members of the Woolworths and MySchool advertising and promotional agencies and distributors.
8. By entering the competition you agree to receive future correspondence from MySchool, including your monthly e-statement showing you how much funds have been raised. You can opt-out of this communications at any stage by emailing us at cs@myschool.co.za or call us at 0860 100 445.
9. The judge’s decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The winners consent to their name and photograph being made available to the sponsors in association with the competition and other sponsor-related publicity.
    
11. The prize draw will be held on 5 March 2010. Winners will be notified telephonically.
12. The in-house auditors of MySchool will witness a fair random selection process and the judges’ decision shall be final.
13. The prize is not transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
14. In the event that any winner cannot be successfully contacted following all reasonable attempts to do so, MySchool reserves the right to disqualify the winner from the competition and to draw another winner in his or her stead.
15. By participating in MySchool “Vote for SA’s Favourite Charity” competition, the winners agree to release and hold MySchool, and any associated companies, their employees, directors, officers and agents, and their advertising and promotion agencies harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
16. MySchool reserves the right to terminate this competition immediately and without notice. In the event of such termination, the entrants and winners agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against MySchool, its advertising and promotional agencies, distributors and their respective employees.
17. Any reference to MySchool or Woolworths in these terms and conditions shall be deemed to include reference to Woolworths (Pty) Ltd, Virtual Market Place (Pty) Ltd, Woolworths Financial Services (Pty) Ltd and any of their holding, associated, affiliated companies and subsidiaries.
