During 2009 over 1170 schools participated in MySchool migration – these schools earned more than 57% of all MySchool funds generated in 12 months!

What is MySchool Migration?
Migration is the process through which MySchool tracks learners as they move from one class to another to ensure the correct school benefits from funds raised and that supporters are allocated to the correct school.
We do this by tracking demographic data of both the learner and the parent

Why should a school participate?

• The updated records allow you to gain more MySchool supporters (and thus more funds) for your school
• Schools can better manage the MySchool fundraising initiative, because they can identify the top performing grade/class/family and award and reward them accordingly.
• Be able to provide better and more accurate feedback to parents, learners and staff on the funds raised through the programme
• Local partner stores can offer prizes and promotions to schools because they can identify the winning class or parent or child.
• The updated records allow schools to better target their marketing and fundraising efforts. E.g. You can prompt specific parents without MySchool cards to support your school while providing letters of thanks to those parents that already support you
• Schools can identify trends and maximise them (e.g. To raise more funds)
• Receive a more complete and accurate monthly school pack
• Schools that make use of InTouch Bulk SMS and Email can load their entire address book through MySchool – minimize your admin

What about data protection and privacy?

MySchool is committed to preserving and upholding individual privacy. We are committed to protect the personal information of supporters, parents and learner. We will never sell, rent or share an individual supporter or learner’s information with a third party. We will never contact a supporter unless that supporter has provided us with express permission to do so, as per the pending Consumer Privacy Act.
ID numbers are required to ensure profiles are not duplicated and your monthly stats are accurate.

Migration 2010: we are going electronic!
We realise that previously the annual Migration process has been labour and time intensive for both schools and MySchool
We want to simplify the process. Traditional Migration has been replaced with an electronic import process – no more manual paperwork! This is so much easier and convenient. Migration 2010 will be simpler, faster, easier and much more accurate

MIGRATION 2010 – Some Changes we have implemented:

• Migration information will be submitted in a specific format and on a digital platform (email/CD).
• EduPac, EDUADMIN and Pencil Box users have access to an automated data-export option.
• Schools who do not use these admin systems can migrate electronically be submitting their data in the correct template.
  Please Note: no paper work will be accepted

How do we 'Migrate' our school to the New Year?
Please select the admin system you use to download the instruction manual - click on the link, select "Migration" and then select the admin system you use
