Thanks to the Thuso Fund in 2017, Kannemeyer Primary School is building on its success in serving its community with a donation of R80 000 towards digital equipment, blinds and stage curtains.  The funding has added value to Kannemeyer Primary’s newly acquired school hall, which will be a sustainable source of income for the school.

This focus on creating positive links between the school and its neighbourhood goes back to the transformation of its library in 2012 when Kannemeyer Primary celebrated its 50th anniversary.  Principal Ridwan Samodien recognised that the school could better serve its community by reviving its library and transforming it into a community reading room. That’s why MySchool has been delighted to pay it forward even further with a new donation that will see the school grow in strength as a hub of the community.
