R50,000 donated to Kids Haven, Jabulani Khakibos Kids, I Care and the Amy Biehl Foundation thanks to the Woolworths MySchool Play it Forward campaign.

PIF skills ballOver 34,000 soccer skills balls were sold at Woolworths leading up to and during the 2010 World Cup as part of its ‘Play it Forward’ campaign, which sought to teach children the value of ‘paying it forward’ to those in need. R5 from the sale of each ball was donated by the retailer to the MySchool Street Children’s Fund.

During June 2009 Woolworths Food committed themselves to a MySchool inspired Youth Day promotion. Besides offering customers special discounts on 32 food products, Woolworths also dedicated additional funds in benefit of MySchool on each of these products sold. Through this campaign over R450 000 of funds were raised in benefit of MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet.
