LEAPBishops enjoys a mutually rewarding partnership with the LEAP schools (Langa Educational Advantage Programme). When John Gilmour approached Bishops in 2003 with a dream to create schools that addressed the teaching of Maths and Science to the underprivileged community of Langa, Bishops immediately joined with him in helping set up the school.

"I had been volunteering for a year with Shine when I met Asemahle, a shy little Grade 2 boy with a massive scar across his head and a very sweet smile. He had been assessed as being ’at risk’, and was joining Shine for the first time.

Kiana HarrisonThe Children’s Hospital Trust fundraisers help little patients like Baby Kiana receive specialised medical care. When little Kiana was just two months old she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis after suffering many chest infections. Cystic fibrosis is a genetically hereditary disorder that causes the mucous secreted in different parts of the body to be much thicker than usual which causes a blockage in your organs. In Kiana’s case, this build-up is in her lungs.
