Operation Smile South Africa provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe.

An operation is just 45 minutes long - but the results are life-changing! It costs R5 500 per operation.

Wallacedene informal settlement gets new homes with MySchool’s help

The Masizakhele informal settlement in Wallacedene recently became the worthy recipient of a brand new home to the value of R65 000. Completed by 150 volunteering Grade 8 boys from Wynberg Boys High School, the house was built over the period of one month and was finished off by the eager boys who spent the last two days painting, hanging doors and adding final fixtures.

Kids from Courtrai Primary School are encouraged to give back to their community and make a difference.   Learners provide personal feedback on how their outreach has changed their lives (from helping the elderly, donating to the SPCA to visiting a hospital). SA Mast (South African Mass Animal Sterilisation Trust) , one of our Top Planet beneficiaries held their annual Spring Fun and Kennel Building day on the 1 September 2012 at the Academy of Math and Science, Constantia which was a huge success. MySchool was proud to be a sponsor of the event. Hundreds of Volunteers came prepared with claw hammers and a smile to build and paint kennels.
