Walk your Mutt for a great cause!
Join MyPlanet at the inaugural Sandton SPCA/ Hill’s MuttWalk on Sunday 25 March 2012 at 8am at the Field and Study Recreation Centre, Louise Avenue Parkmore.
This is a family-friendly 5km awareness fun walk for animal lovers and their dogs! Enjoy an outing with the canine members of the family whilst helping the Sandton SPCA to continue their vital animal welfare and educational work.
The entry costs are:
The great news…for every dog that is signed up to be a part of the MuttWalk fun, MyPlanet has pledged to donate an extra R10 to the Sandton SPCA up to a maximum total donation of R20 000. We value the work that they do caring for and protecting our furry members of society.
You and your pets can look forward to a Sandton SPCA/ Hill’s MuttWalk paw-print bandana (for dogs) and the first 1, 000 people to enter will each receive a ‘doggie’ (goodie) bag sponsored by Hill’s. If you do not have a dog, you are still welcome to join the walk…maybe buy yourself a ‘balloon dog’ @ R25 from Daffodil Concepts – when you do, a percentage of the purchase will go towards the Sandton SPCA. So there are so many ways that you can make a difference.

Expect water stations along the route as well as food stalls, lucky draws and children’s entertainment at the Start/Finish. The Hill’s team will also be on hand to answer your pet nutrition questions and the Sandton SPCA’s Mobile Clinic will be there to provide animal first aid.
“This is all about having fun for a good cause, so bring the kids and your dogs and enjoy a great day out knowing that you are raising much needed funds for the Sandton SPCA”, said Hill’s Marketing Manager Carla Bath.
Participants should pre-register for the event (to secure your booking) though ‘walk-in’ registrations may be taken on the day of the event, if it is not over-subscribed. It's so awesome to see that animals are still considered a priviledge! Keep up the good work :)
