Dolphine Coast Pre-Primary is a small school, situated in Ballito on the North Coast of Kwazulu-Natal, with approximately 140 pupils.  This school recognises the importance of teaching children about the value of supporting those less fortunate than themselves.

They encourage students to bring an extra sandwich with their lunch every Friday.  These sandwiches are then generously donated to the local Ethuthukweni Orphange in Shakaskraal.  This orphanage is run by a local woman called Angel. She has devoted her time to provide a safe haven for local children that have been orphaned and is dedicated to their education. The regular Friday sandwich donations have been a blessing for the orphanage.

“These extra sandwiches not only fill their tummies but are guaranteed to put a smile on these children’s faces.  As South Africans we have a proud heritage of giving back and I believe that through initiatives like this Dolphine Coast Pre-primary is creating more socially conscious learners,” says Helene Brand, Marketing Manager of MySchool.
