R7 000 was donated towards supporting the NSPCA Dog Fighting Special Investigation Unit.

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) is non-profit organisations that helps prevent cruelty and promote the welfare of all animals.

Dog fighting can be defined as a sadistic "contest" in which two dogs, specifically bred and trained to fight, are placed in a small arena to fight each other for the spectators' entertainment and for gambling purposes. It is a thriving and ever increasing industry in South Africa. It is an incredibly violent, well-organised crime that is often linked to other criminal activities. South Africa is currently being marketed as “a good place to fight dogs” in countries across the world.

SANCCOB is a leading marine non-profit organisation with a vision to conserve seabirds and other sea-life, especially threatened species such as the African penguin.

SANCCOB’s Adoption Programme is a pay-forward system whereby you pay for the rehabilitation costs of a penguin by adopting and naming a penguin that has already been successfully rehabilitated and released back into the wild.
