| MySchool Donates R16 130 to SPCA Cape of Good Hope |
|
A record number of 2400 people and 1613 dogs took part making it the biggest dog walk in the country.
On the 17th of December MySchool was proud to present the SPCA with a cheque to the amount of R16 130 in commemoration of the record breaking 1630 dogs that participated. The SPCA is a MyPlanet beneficiary of the MySchool programme. The money raised from the donation will help the SPCA CoGH to operate its animal adoption centre and hospital, support its inspectorate services and provide community education on animal welfare issues. Each month, the Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) SPCA investigates around 800 reports of animal cruelty and neglect and relies entirely on public donations as it receives no government support In the photo, from left to right: Helene Van Dyk (MySchool Marketing Manager), Juan August (SPCA Event Coordinator), Sarah Scarth (SPCA Communications Manager), Babalwa Kotyi (MySchool Marketing Assistant)
