Working collectively to promote a culture of child rights. Childline's Mission Statement The establishment of a culture of respect for all children's rights as outlined in the South African Bill of Rights and Constitution is essential to the continued wellbeing of our communities and the future stability of our country. Violence against children and young people, whether emotional, physical or sexual, constitutes a gross human rights violation that impinges on the right to equality, human dignity, security, privacy and ultimately education. These factors limit children and young people's capacity for growth and development. Challenging this violence and ensuring their emotional physical and sexual safety facilitates the achievement of their maximum potential. To this end Childline is committed to:
