Gauteng - Johannesburg West
• Maragon Private School have taken 6 orphaned children into their care. MySchool funding plays a substantial role in providing these children with access to quality education (they have all received bursaries), food, sport and school wear, and some pocket money for toiletries.
Gauteng - Johannesburg South East
• Sir Edmund Hillary Primary School donates a portion of their MySchool funding to Animals in Distress. They also collect food for the animals.
Gauteng - Johannesburg North East
• Linksfield Primary School uses their MySchool funds towards upgrading the aftercare centre.
• Beaulieu Prep used their MySchool funds towards buying a cover for the pool and towards buying recycled benches.
• Cedarwood School has an active Outreach program which gives their students the opportunity to become involved in community development projects. They regularly collect food for the local SPCA
Eastern Cape - Port Elizabeth and surrounds
• Ebenzer Academy has started a soup kitchen for street children in their community with their MySchool funds.
• Pearson High treated pensioners at a nearby old age home with tea and cake.
• Clarendon Park Primary School used part of their funds to buy dog and cat food for the animal welfare.
• Hurbert Herd's MySchool Funding is going towards the building of their new indoor pool.
Western Cape - Inland and Garden Route
• Oakhill School have used their MySchool money towards building new log benches and to refurbish the playground.
Gauteng - Johannesburg North
• St David's Marist College already has a cartridge recycling project in place and all the money received is given to Diepsloot Schools
Gauteng - Johannesburg East Rand
• Hoërskool Birch Leigh in Kempton Park annually collects dog and cat food for the local SPCA. They handed this over to the SPCA in the last week of Aug.
• Laerskool Dalview in Brakpan uses their MySchool money to supplement salaries to SGB teachers.
• Benoni West Senior Primary school collected clothes, food and money for " Children of Fire"
• Strubenvale Primary School's learners bring an extra sandwich to school on Tuesdays. They reach out to the children at Kwasa as part of their service to the community.
