For animals like Molly, DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage means a new family and home, where local children also learn about the environment.

Since arriving at DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage, Molly – a six month old bush pig – is settling in and making friends.  Found abandoned and wandering alone behind a shop in Hoedspruit, Molly is now a happy member of a new family.

Growing in confidence every day, Molly has quite the personality and loves walking around the camp and meeting other animals.  She even tried making friends with Martin the cheetah, though he might have been more interested in eating her for dinner!

DAKTARI uses its MySchool funds to help feed its wild animals that can’t be rehabilitated, while educating local children. For animals like Molly, it’s a chance at life and she loves to play with children and volunteers and tries to give everyone muddy kisses.  Some of her other favourite things to do include playing football and taking mud baths, and because she’s such a social animal, she’s taken on daily walks to stretch her legs and play around camp.
