The SANParks Honorary Rangers (HR) is a volunteer NGO of 1,200 members, mainly South Africans. Their vision and mission is to provide assistance and support to SANParks. This organisation was formed in 1964 and is active in 18 of the 19 proclaimed National Parks. SANParks Honorary Rangers raises funds for projects that have been requested and approved by SANParks, and manage these projects to completion.
