Border Collie RescueIn 1997, Border Collie Rescue (BCR), a non profit organisation, grew out of the need to find adoptive homes for the ever increasing number of unwanted Border Collies (BC). Since inception, over 4800 BCs in Gauteng alone have been homed, thanks to the outstanding commitment by the BCR and their supporters.

400 BCs are homed each year - and this number keeps growing! Volunteers strive to ensure that all BCs needing homes find permanent placement and that owners are capable of dealing with the challenges and demands of living with these immensely active and intelligent dogs. While a good, trained working dog is worth his weight in gold, many that come into BCRs care have not been trained - but are very capable of being trained.

You can help this organisation continue the valuable work they do, by getting your card in support of them now.

BCRs main objectives are to:

- Educate the public about BCs

- Find loving adoptive homes for unwanted BCs

- Provide rehabilitation for abused BCs

- Provide foster homes for abandoned BCs

- Raise funds to cover the operating costs of BCR i.e. sterilisation, advertising, kenneling fees, transport, telephone and other veterinary expenses.

Lets work with BCR to ensure that every BC has a home.
